SA: More work bans at auto parts maker from today
Workers at an automotive parts supplier in Adelaide are taking industrial action todayin a dispute over pay and entitlements.
Production staff at Henderson's Automotive, which supplies car seat components haveimposed an overtime ban.
They took similar action last month and also went on strike for 24 hours -- forcingAdelaide-based car maker Mitsubishi to close its factory for a day.
Mitsubishi says it will monitor the latest action but isn't concerned at this stage.
The Australian Manufacturing Workers Union wants Henderson's to improve on a four percent pay rise offer and set up a trust fund for workers' entitlements.
Henderson's is expected to ask the Industrial Relations Commission today to make thework bans illegal.
