Qld: Ex prop packs down for political career

BRISBANE, Jan 18 AAP - Former Australian and Queensland rugby league prop Martin Bella
is aiming to now tackle state politics.
The National Party has preselected the high-profile north Queenslander for the state
seat of Mackay in the forthcoming election.
Mr Bella made nine Test appearances, touring with the Kangaroos in 1990, and played
21 state of origin matches for the Maroons in the 1980s and 90s.
He also played in the Brisbane competition and put in several seasons …
