Fed: Ansett sells another plane as workers get $150 mill
Ansett administrators say they have sold another of the collapsed airline's planes,
raising another $5 million for creditors.
The news came as former Ansett workers received $150 million in outstanding entitlements,
boosting the average payout to 71 cents in the dollar so far.
Administrator MARK KORDA says the contract to sell the BAE146 jet was signed late yesterday.
Mr KORDA says the deal is worth more than $5 million, but declines to name the buyer,
saying the contract is not yet finalised.
Ansett workers received their latest payments overnight, following the settlement of
a long running court case with an employee superannuation company.
